| During the First International Festival in Contemporary Mosaic RavennaMosaico (10 October – 20 November 2009) the registration process for the 2010 will be available to anyone whishing to register with the aimc – International Association of Contemporary Mosaicist. The registration card give the possibility to attend, on payment, to the biennial conferences and to the exhibitions organized by aimc. The membership offers price discounts and facilitations on the purchasing of mosaic products, books and magazines, museum and exibitions tickets, hotel fees. | RavennaMosaico Ravenna Mosaico is the First International Festival dedicated to the most contemporary expressions of an ancient art. A series of exhibitions, new productions, congresses, workshops, restoration workshops, meetings and conferences, in Ravenna, alongside the early Christian and Byzantine legacy of mosaics that is now part of the World Heritage List of UNESCO. The Festival is organised in collaboration with aimc, the International Association of Contemporary Mosaicists In cooperation with Municipality of Ravenna the aimc has organized four exhibitions Nature and Culture Mosaics from the Library of Alexandria in Egypt Location: Sala Manica Lunga - Classense Library Via Baccarini 3 From Alexandria in Egypt, the city in which one of the most ancient libraries in the world once existed and from a workshop run by Egyptian mosaicists in cooperation with the AIMC (International Association of Contemporary Mosaicists), an exhibition will come for RavennaMosaico, financed by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. Mosaic Installations Location: Cloisters of the Oriani Library - Via Corrado Ricci 26 The cloisters of the Oriani Library will be adorned with mosaic installations to exhibit the most contemporary applications of mosaic art. Works from the world Location: Urban Center - Church of San Domenico - Via Cavour 1 An exhibition to introduce in the city of mosaics the most recent works by artists who in different continents have chosen the path of an ancient art. Mosaic Architecture Location: Conference Centre - Largo Firenze From ancient times the relationship between mosaic and architecture has been very profound: this exhibition with great photographic panels of works by the members of AIMC, highlights the most contemporary applications of this relationship. Ismail Ahkmetov, founder of the project SoloMosaico, will present simultaneously at the second issue of the magazine, the website www.solo-mosaico.com, that is already on line. | FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOSAICO CONTEMPORANEO |
| RavennaMosaico Ravenna, october -november 2009 The first edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Mosaic, RavennaMosaico is a project of the City of Ravenna, in collaboration with the International Association of Contemporary Mosaicists, that between October and November 2009 will host exhibitions, debates, conferences, presentation of specialist publications in the city of mosaic. All members of Aimc are invited to propose mosaic works to be submitted to a selection for the construction of pathways to set up in the exhibition spaces more suggestive of the city. In order to participate, you must have paid the membership fee AIMC for the year 2008-2009 (€ 35,00 + € 35,00), or make a payment of € 70.00 for a new registration (€ 35.00 of membership fee + € 35.00 of annual fee for the year 2009). | Solo Mosaico History, Contemporaneity, Technologies. 2008 L'Associazione Internazionale Mosaicisti Contemporanei presenta la prima edizione in lingua inglese della rivista russa Solo Mosaico. History, contemporanity, technologies Martedì 16 dicembre 2008 Ore 17,00 Museo d'Arte della Città Via di Roma, 13 – Ravenna sala multimediale Interverranno: Elisa Simoni, VicePresidente AIMC Rosetta Berardi, membro del Consiglio Direttivo AIMC In occasione dell'XI Congresso AIMC a Gaziantep, Turchia, nel mese di ottobre 2008, è stata presentata al pubblico internazionale la versione in lingua inglese della prima edizione della rivista Solo Mosaico, a cura di Ismail Akhmetov. La versione in lingua russa è stata presentata a Mosca nel mese di aprile 2008, in concomitanza con l'inaugurazione dell'Esposizione Internazionale di Mosaici Moderni, presso l'ARTPLAY Design Centre di Mosca, sempre promossa da Akhmetov. Ampio spazio del primo numero è dedicato ai mosaici antichi e contemporanei di Ravenna. Per questa ragione l'AIMC desidera presentare agli artisti ravennati e a tutti coloro che operano nel settore del mosaico il progetto della rivista. |
